Exploring the Metaphysical – Beyond the Body

The Path of Least Resistance

I am studying a book called “Working with the Law.” One of the chapters talks about how to handle resistance. You know whatever you resist persists. Follow the path that water takes, the path of least resistance. Looking at a stream trickling down a path it has laid you can see all sorts of boulders, rocks, limbs, etc.. in its path. Now the stream could push against the rocks until its strength would move the boulder. No, the water finds a way around the boulder instead of resisting it. It may take a little longer to reach its destination, but water did not waste excess energy resisting the blockage to flow.

Being Calm

I think of stress as resistance to an obstacle that is in our way of accomplishing a goal. We are pushing back against the blockage, the barrier to our success creating tension, stress, yes, resistance. Once we find a determined way to go around, to go over or under, or best just to go through, relief is felt and calmness flows over us and within us. Calm knows no resistance.

Think calming thoughts.

Thoughts do create your reality. Bring calmness into your thoughts. Bring peace into your reality. You will not only find that you feel less resistance, but that you will have less in your life to resist. Think thoughts of success, of goals attained, of a life fully lived. Resistance will fade as your power as a creator is revealed. Go with the flow. Be like water and follow the path of least resistance. It has been within you all this time.

Until next time, Love. Connect. Transform.

  1. Very insightful. The path of least resistance is a hard choice for some. I learned this lesson long ago, but I worry for the generations behind me. This is a great reminder for us, free yourself from the stress. The sun will come up the next day! Thank you, Donna

  3. Thank you Chere. I apologize for not responding to you earlier. I am new at this website stuff and I did no realize I had to approve a comment before it showed up. I thought no one was commenting. YAY! I got that solved.
Yes, I agree about those who follow us. That is why I believe we have to be the model that they follow. The way that we learn is about the influences around us and we can serve as the influence we want them to be. We can do this.
